The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is known for its contributions of time and money to projects that support our youth and verterans. As an entity of the Elks, the Elks Aidmore Children's Center lives up to that reputation. Their work in the community have made many friends for the Center.

The Elks Aidmore Children's Center is fortunate to have friends such as Snapping Shoals, our local EMC. They have just recently given us a grant for our windows and our ropes course. The total was over $20,000. Words do not do justice to our gratitude to their generosity.

This year we are again hosting the Atlanta Area Council of Boy Scouts of America's week long day camp for area Cub Scouts. In addition, we have had three Eagle Scouts complete their Eagle Scout program on our campus. It is a great working relationship. We also host day meetings for the Scouts when they are having special ceremonies. The Girl Scouts use us also for camping along with church groups and some family groups.

For the sixth year, the Evergreen Garden Club in Conyers is working with our girls, creating another garden on the Little Garden on the Hill garden plot.

We offer the community walking trails at no charge from sunrise to sunset. All the walkers/hikers have to do is register and receive a permission slip to place on the dashboard.

Once a year, we hold a Small Fry Fishing Contest which is a free fishing contest for children 16 and under. This year, we had almost 150 people show up.

In the fall, we host the Haunted Halloween Hayride which has become a sellout community event. The Hayride requires 60 volunteers a night to run successfully. This year, we are having more corporate involvement.

Cross Fire Square Dancers use our gym for a nominal fee and provide square dancing lessons and square dances for the community.

The mentoring program continues to grow, providing our girls with outside support and guidance.

We have many community groups that continue to make donations to Aidmore.
