It’s that time again...mark it down!
I’m going to be the new Exalted Ruler. Now what do I do?
Well, to get a good start attend the Exalted Ruler’s Academy March 26 – 27th being held at Aidmore Children’s Center in Conyers. All Exalted Rulers Elect, Leading Knights Elect, Secretaries Elect and Chairman of the Trustees are encouraged to attend this two day seminar. We have added the Trustees to this seminar and will have information for them that is pertinent to the overall well being of your Lodge. This is an excellent way to meet with other new Exalted Rulers, Leading Knights, Secretaries and Trustees and share with them your thoughts and ideas for your year of leadership in your Lodge. Also in attendance will be PGER Val Bates, the District Vice Presidents Elect and the District Deputies Designate. In addition to these leaders, there will be many PSP and other state leaders available to answer your questions and give their advice as needed. This marks the twenty-seventh year the Georgia Elks Association has provided comprehensive training for new Lodge leaders. An extensive two-day seminar will be conducted by experienced Elks from across the State. Many topics are being covered that will be beneficial during your year as a Lodge leader. Shortly, the committee will be mailing an application to your Lodge Secretary. Please return it to us as soon as possible so we can make the reservations at the motel and commit for Saturday night dinner. It will be a fun weekend and you will be provided with some very important information to help you in being a better leader for your Lodge. Please plan to attend.
